• PHILIPPE MANCA – COMPOSITEUR ET METTEUR EN SCÈNE

Musicien au parcours atypique issu de la mouvance hard rock du début des années 80 avec le groupe TNT, il a tout au long de sa carrière exercé conjointement ses talents de guitariste et de compositeur. Il a ainsi collaboré à différents projets comme The Team avec Barbara Schenker (sœur du leader du groupe allemand Scorpions), le premier album d’Era avec Eric Levi avec lequel il participera à l’élaboration de musiques de films tels que Les Visiteurs ou Les Anges Gardiens. Il suit également pendant quelques années le chanteur Renaud Hantson tout en produisant l’opéra rock Ypse. De sa collaboration avec le parolier Georges Dupuis naîtra plus tard Jack et le haricot magique.

• PHILIPPE MANCA – COMPOSER AND DIRECTOR

As a musician he followed an unconventional career path. Coming from the hard rock sphere at the beginning of the eighties with the group TNT, he acted constantly as a guitar player as well as a composer. He took part in different schemes such as The Team with Barbara Schencker (the leader’s sister of the German group Scorpions) and the first album of Era with Eric Levi with whom he worked at the making of film music like The Visitors or Gardian Angels. For a couple of years he also worked with the singer Renaud Hantson, while on the other hand producing a rock opera Ypse. Later his collaboration with Georges Dupuis was devoted to the production of Jack et le haricot magique.

• GEORGES DUPUIS – AUTEUR

Dramaturge, metteur en scène et comédien, il s’est d’abord inspiré de la vie d’Alfred de Musset pour écrire une pièce à succès intitulée Le bruit de la vie. Après sa première collaboration sur l’opéra rock Ypse de Philippe Manca, il renouvelle l’expérience avec Jack et le haricot magique, puis reste dans le domaine du spectacle pour enfants, mais en solo, avec une adaptation du Chat botté de Perrault. Passionné par la science et l’histoire, il évoque la vie des inventeurs du premier avion dans sa pièce Le vol de Kitty Hawk en 2008. À travers ses différents sujets d’écriture, Georges Dupuis possède le talent de créer des univers vivants en s’inspirant de récits historiques et/ou lyriques.

• GEORGES DUPUIS – AUTHOR

As a playwright, director and actor, Alfred de Musset’s life inspired him a successful play Le bruit de la vie. After his first collaboration with Philippe Manca for the making of his rock opera Ypse, he worked anew with him on Jack et le haricot magique. Then, on his own, he produced in the field of shows for the children an arrangement of Le chat botté (Puss in boots) from Perrault. Highly interested in science and history he recalls in 2008 the life of the inventors of the first aircraft in his play Le vol de Kitty Hawk. Throughout different items of writing Georges Dupuis shows a great talent for creating lively worlds inspired by historical and/or operatical stories.
